Who We Are

Empowering Hispanic Businesses in Nebraska Since 2005

Founded in 2005, the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NHCC) began as a grassroots initiative, supporting the small yet vibrant community of Latino-owned businesses in South Omaha. These early efforts focused on creating a network of collaboration and mutual support among Hispanic entrepreneurs, ensuring their voices were heard and their businesses could thrive despite the many challenges they faced. What started as a local support network for South Omaha Latino businesses has since evolved into a statewide institution, reflecting the growth and prominence of Hispanic enterprises across Nebraska.

Over the years, NHCC has transformed into a powerful advocate for Hispanic business excellence, representing the interests of thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs across a wide range of industries. This transformation is not just about numbers; it’s about fostering a cultural shift in how Hispanic businesses are viewed and supported in Nebraska. Through strategic partnerships with local governments, corporations, and community organizations, NHCC has helped shape a business landscape where Hispanic enterprises are seen as vital contributors to the state’s economic success.

As the Hispanic population and its economic influence have grown, NHCC has mirrored this momentum, expanding its reach and impact. From its humble beginnings, it has evolved into a statewide force, offering a comprehensive suite of resources, advocacy, and leadership development programs designed to uplift Hispanic business owners and professionals. NHCC’s journey is not just a reflection of the growth of individual businesses but also a testament to the power of collective action within the Hispanic community.

The Chamber’s history is intertwined with the stories of countless Hispanic entrepreneurs who have overcome adversity, breaking barriers to achieve their dreams. NHCC has been a constant partner in their journey, providing the resources, connections, and support needed to turn obstacles into opportunities. Today, NHCC is recognized not only by business owners but also by government leaders, policymakers, and corporations as the definitive voice for Hispanic business interests in Nebraska.
