OUR History

The NHCC was founded in 2005 as a 501(c)(6) and it was originally created to benefit South Omaha Latino Businesses. Years later, the mission expanded to promote Diversity and Inclusion Statewide.

The Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, throughout the years, had several board members that played important roles to make  differences within the community; however it was not until Mid-August 2012 that the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce faced unexpected but needed changes, that created not only a transition period, but took it to a full successful strategic plan that allowed the representation of Latino-Hispanic small businesses as the community request it, the recognition as a channel to reach out integration and inclusion within corporate America and the Latino workforce;  and the respect of its Chamber existence by Nebraska dignitaries and local authorities, such as: Nebraska governor, Mayors of several cities, Congressmen, and other Chamber’s representatives.

Mission

The mission of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Nebraska is to work for the leadership and the economic development of the Latino – Hispanic businesses, and the professionals who belong to the Latino- Hispanic entrepreneurial community by bridging gaps between diverse segments of society for inclusive workplaces and communities.

Vision

The vision of the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Nebraska is to foster and protect the interest of the Latino- Hispanic business community with strategic initiatives, partnerships and education in relation to the public and private organizations at the local, state and national levels.
